Climate Change (Exposition text)

What is climate change? Climate change is a change of climate. According to Oxford Languages, climate means “the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period”. that means, it is an unstable, a sudden change of weather or long term shifts in temperature or weather patterns that is happening in over several decades or more.

It is natural for The Earth’s climate to change. Example, a meteor shower that hit earth over long time ago before the human exists. but, the so-not-okay that is happening right now is the increase carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, plus the human activities that can create greenhouse gasses.

Greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere that trap heat. During the day, the sun shines through the atmosphere, warming the earth's surface. At night the earth's surface cools, releasing heat back into the air. But some of the heat is trapped by the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The heat that is trapped and the increasing amount of carbon dioxide is causing the air's temperature go up, the earth's temperature goes up too, which can causes a several big changes, such as ; rising sea levels, ice melting, and warming oceans.

The fact that ice melting and warming oceans can directly hurt animals by destroying the places they live. Not only animal's life can be ruined, the sudden climate change can cause poverty among the humans. It can affect the quality of water and foods, more diseases, and economic loss.

That shows how big can climate change affects the earth. We can help by saving the energy or the amount of electricity that we use, use bike or take a public transport if you want to go somewhere to not release the amount of gas that the car and motorbikes produces.
